A product of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches ministry through the missionary May Coggins, who led him to a personal and Biblical knowledge of Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord, Evangelist Greg Tingson has had, during the last fifty years, a checkered life and ministry for and in behalf of the Church and for his country as well.

Educated both in the Philippines and in the U.S.A., Dr. Tingson had his undergraduate studies in the UP College of Law, and in colleges in America like Roosevelt University, Olivet Nazarene University, Wheaton College, Loyola University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He majored in the fields of Theology and Social/Political Science and has been invested with the honorary degrees: Doctor of Divinity (DD) and Doctor of Laws (LL.D.).

Once dubbed as the Billy Graham of the Philippines,his experience in the field of evangelism include years of colaboring with that famous evangelist, Dr. Billy Graham; and five decades of evangelistic campaigns in the Philippines and all over Asian countries. His role in evangelism has always been church-related and Christcentered.

The Rev. Dr. Greg Tingson has served his community and country officially as member of two Constitutional Conventions, 1977 and 1986. Presently, he is the President of Fortress College, a Christian institution in Kabankalan City, Neg. Occidental, which he founded in 1976.

Married to Egla Aranda who graduated from CPU College of Nursing, Dr. Greg Tingson has six children and eleven grandchildren.
